Environmental Conservation initiative

 

At Community for Better Life, we believe in harnessing the power of youth to protect the environment and create a sustainable future. Our green initiative, launched in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, has brought together 59 enthusiastic young individuals committed to conserving nature and creating green jobs.

Innovative Waste Management Solutions

Our volunteers collect and sort waste, transforming it into marketable products that support our organization’s objectives. From recycling materials to crafting unique items, we showcase our creations at prominent events like the Tumaini Festival and World Refugee Day.

Impact on the Community

This project has:

– Created employment opportunities for young refugees
– Promoted environmental awareness and education
– Generated income through sustainable product sales
– Fostered community engagement and social cohesion

Challenges and Needs

To expand our impact, we require:

– Materials for recycling (paper, plastic, glass, etc.)
– A spacious room for sorting and crafting activities
– Ongoing support for our dedicated volunteers
